AWS Control Tower interacts with other AWS services and provides a managed landing zone environment. For example, it creates a landing zone using AWS Organizations, apply controls using Service control policies and AWS Config Rules, and manage access using AWS IAM Identity Center. It’s important to perform all configuration changes via AWS Control Tower console, CLI, or API where it’s applicable. For example, when creating a new organizational units, you should always perform it from the AWS Control Tower console.
